Cause Description:
We are to my knowledge Colorado Springs, CO's only "homeschooling" Girl Scout Troop. Our troop is also unique in that it incorporates Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes. There are ~49 girls altogether, though I am registering on behalf of our Juniors which make up the majority of the troop at ~25 in attendance. My name is Elaine. I'm the mom of a 9 yr. old 1st year Junior. She's a bright, bouncy, bubbly girl who has benefited immensely under the guidance of this troop's AWESOME leadership. Mary and Karena have been her leaders for the past two years and have given sacrificially of their time and energy. Some families find it hard to pay the dues and pay field trip expenses, but these ladies make it "happen" for everybody! They are admirable role models for our girls and are not ashamed to live their Christian faiths. We do our best to raise funds thru cookie sales, but we could certainly benefit from any donations raised. Thank-you for your support ! :>)
