Lower Umpqua Victims' Services (LUVS) provides assistance to crime victims in a rural, isolated area on the central Oregon coast. Services include crisis intervention and advocacy, domestic violence crisis intervention, rape support and services, assistance with restraining orders, criminal justice support, safe-homes and emergency services, resource and referral information, women's support groups, crime victim's compensation and court ordered restitution. The agency works in collaboration with the police and municipal court system, the local school district, the ministerial association, the hospital and physicians, and other social service agencies.
