Cause Description:
Warriors and Wolves brings together two populations who live in "in-between worlds" - our US military veterans and the animal known as a "wolfdog." Veterans often feel like they do not fit in to society when they come back from combat and many re-enlist (this recent conflict has had the highest re-enlistment rate as well as the highest unemployment rate for returning soldiers). Wolfdogs also live in an in-between world as both a wolf and a dog, often living their lives in small pens because of humans' fear of wolves. Not quite fitting in to either of their worlds, the wolfdog and the warrior find solace in each other with the veteran gaining valuable job skills working in this eco-therapeutic environment.
