Cause Description:
The students involved in EWB are currently designing and implementing an off the grid electrical system in a small village in Guatemala. At its completion the project will consist of: 24 solar panels and a micro-hydro system which will power homes for 50 families, 13 street lights, the school house, community center, 2 churches, a mill, and a community kitchen. We also just finished a cable stay pedestrian bridge in this community. Other projects from our chapter have included both water and bridge projects throughout Central America.
