Cause Description:
Larry Kish Mid-Atlantic Heart Transplant Fund Bethlehem, PA On behalf of my Uncle, Larry Kish. He is a loving father of two children, Kelly and Larry, and had a distinguished twenty- year career in the Navy in active service and the reserves as an electronic technician. Larry was also a part-time teacher at a local vocational technical school, and most recently worked at the US Postal Service. Due to a deteriorating heart condition, he has been unable to work for the past year. Larry has already survived two strokes, and his heart has weakened to the point that his only chance of survival is a heart transplant. Larry is currently on the active waiting list for a heart transplant at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. Although Larry has insurance, he will face many uninsured transplant-related expenses, such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits and the costly immunosuppressant medications that he will need to take for the rest of his life. Funding this procedure is a monumental task. Larry has been hospitalized for several months, with the possibility of remaining hospitalized until he receives his transplant --- his precious "gift of life." This all presents a financial challenge that he cannot meet alone.
