Cause Description:
The United Way of Chittenden County is a locally managed, non-profit organization whose mission is to build a stronger Chittenden County by mobilizing our community to improve people’s lives. Founded in 1942 as the Burlington Community Chest, we have been serving Chittenden County for more than sixty years. The United Way of Chittenden County Volunteer Center matches the volunteer needs of non-profits with human resources of time, talent and expertise in northern Vermont. We are also the home of VT 2-1-1 and we operate the Champlain Initiative.
