Cause Description:
How do we see a starved or abused horse and not be affected? How can we “Not” be compelled to have to do something to help! Serenity Horse Haven rescues and cares for neglected, abandoned, and abused horses. We work with the Van Zandt Sheriff's Office and Animal Control Agencies to help as many horses as we can. Each horse in our care in assessed by a veterinarian and a rehabilitation plan is established. Some of our rescued horses will remain under our care as family members in our sanctuary while others can be rehabilitated.
