Highway Park (located in Lake Placid, Florida) is a rural, unincorporated, and underserved historical black area that is struggling with high unemployment, a migration of its successful citizens to other area, and continual deterioration of the area's housing and services. Our Highway Park Preservation and Restoration District Council's mission is to restore and revitalize the economic and aesthetic viability of our community. We want to preserve the area's history will revitalizing its economy to attract new residents and businesses.
