Cause Description:
Blue Sky Horse Rescue Inc. is a certified 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that was created as a result of the increasing problem of abused and neglected horses in Oregon. For the past 14 years this endeavor has been privately funded, but due to the overwhelming response of horses that need to be rescued we have been forced to solicit outside donations; therefore, we need your help. Located on 280 sprawling acres in Klamath Falls, Oregon, we work closely with the Klamath County Humane Society and law enforcement officials to rescue abused and neglected animals. Our facilities allow the horses to spend their days grazing in the hills during the Spring and Summer months and moved to our pasture during the Fall, after we have harvested the hay and alfalfa. Upon arrival, each horse is provided with proper care and attention to their immediate physical and psychological needs. We currently have approximately 110 horses, which are available for your sponsorship and some are up for adoption. Those that are unadoptable due to behavior or age issues remain at the ranch to live out their lives in a healthy, peaceful existence.
