Save Our International Land•The SOIL Fund. The vision of the SOIL Fund is to further the science of erosion and sediment control and to improve the lives of those impacted by this process. Goals: to fund research that advances our knowledge of the impacts of erosion and the techniques to control it, to fund erosion control education and applied technology, and to fund projects that improve the lives of those impacted by erosion and sediment. Types of programs funded include: Engineers Without Borders Tsurakú Project in Ecuador, Biological Soil Crust (BSC) research and development, and the Water Quality Project in the Nyando Basin Area of Western Kenya, Africa.
