The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure the emotional, social, and financial stability of Michigan patients and families as they navigate the blood cancer journey. Cancer is expensive, both emotionally and financially. BCFM believes nobody should face this journey alone. Master's level professionals personalize critical emotional and financial support services to each patient and immediate family member, allowing them to focus on healing. BCFM supports patients from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond, and never discharges anyone from services. The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan is proud to be among the quarter of rated charities at charitynavigator.org, who have received the maximum 4 stars for strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency. The organization earned a 2019 Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, showcasing the progress and results made toward its mission, and it was honored last year with the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics in its operations.
