B.R.A.K.E.S. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by NHRA driver Doug Herbert in memory of his two sons who were killed in a tragic car accident. By training and educating teenage drivers and their parents, the organization aims to promote safe and responsible driving in an attempt to prevent injuries and safe lives. The B.R.A.K.E.S. Teen Pro-Active Driving School is a free, defensive driving program. Teenagers learn how to handle a vehicle in adverse driving conditions. Students work with professional driving instructors to gain a better understanding of what a car can do. The school improves a teenager's skills and confidence behind the wheel.
