Legal Services of the Hudson Valley provides free, high quality, civil legal assistance to the poor and newly unemployed in matters affecting basic human needs such as: domestic violence; eviction from housing; emergency shelter; unfair debt practices; health care access; government benefits; hunger; right to an appropriate education; and access to job training. Our service area covers Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan, and Ulster counties in New York State. Legal Services of the Hudson Valley was established in 1967 and handles well over 11,000 cases each year.
