Cause Description:
My wife, Rachel, is facing a severe spinal surgery as a result of untreated bi-lateral scoliosis since her adolescence. She is going to have to undergo multiple surgeries, as well as a lengthy hospital stay, and extended home care for months before she will be able to walk again. And approximately a year before she would be able to return to work. Fortunately, she has been able to qualify for assistance through the State to help with her medical expenses. However, we have 2 young children at home that need our support, as well as the normal household expenses of mortgage, utilities, car payments, etc., and with mine being the only income, we fear that will not make it. We are asking for you to purchase items as you normally would online, but to use these links. A portion of the proceeds from each purchase will go into a fund that will help with her day to day living expense. Any leftover funds after she has recovered are going to be donated to the MUSC Spinal Research Center for further research into helping others stricken with her conditions.
