Cause Description:
The Lutheran Mission Society, established in 1905, is a Christian Health & Welfare Agency with eight Compassion Centers – seven in Maryland and one in York, PA. The Lutheran Mission Society’s Compassion Centers serve over 500 walk-in clients per day – providing food, clothing, some health services, disaster response, chaplaincy, educational services and Christian counseling. The LMS Compassionate Grace Counseling Center is a faith- based counseling program whose purpose is to provide low- to-no cost counseling to the community. Called to purpose in 2010, the Compassionate Grace Counseling Center operates under a need-based sliding fee. LMS Compassion Housing is a low-cost shelter program available at both the York and Annapolis Compassion Center locations.
