Mission: To give kids in low-income communities a path to personal fulfillment and career success through technology. The world has gone digital. That opens up many new avenues for learning, growth and success — but only for those who are "digitally literate." Those who aren't will get left behind. Unfortunately, not all kids have the same chance to learn about technology so they can survive — and hopefully thrive — in a digital world. That's where Digital Schoolhouse comes in. The Digital Schoolhouse program provides schoolchildren and their teachers with hands-on computer and Internet training and personal interaction with some of the best minds in the high-tech industry. The goal of the program is to turn kids on in low-income communities to the stimulating and productive world of technology at an age when other less savory forces, such as gangs, crime and violence, compete for their attention. The Digital Schoolhouse Foundation and the organizations we partner with share these common values: Equal-opportunity learning.
