Cause Description:
Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) HAL was formed to enhance the Beaufort County Animal Shelter’s foster care program and improve their adoption rates. Puppies/kittens, as well as pregnant or lactating dogs/cats are placed in foster homes until they are ready to be spayed and neutered and put up for adoption. HAL provides food, litter, and other supplies as well as pays for a portion of their medical expenses. HAL holds adoption fairs to help shelter animals find forever homes. The organization is all-volunteer and all money donated is used to support the animals in foster care.
