Founded in 2007, our name was inspired by our friends at Kathamandu University in Nepal. “Mahila” means “Women” in Nepalese and “Partnership” represents the way we work. We conduct this work along with our partners through: * Providing and supporting education * Working towards achieving gender equality and ending violence against women & children * Research and advocacy on sustainable community development before and after disasters * Providing resources to women and their families in disaster affected areas
