Cause Description:
We are a 501(c)(3) NO KILL Shelter/Sanctuary. We require all of our companion animals to be spayed or neutered before adoption. We promote low cost/free spay neuter programs and spay/neuter incentive programs. We have spent many years helping animals (as Heaven's Gateway Horse Rescue and Teaching Center, Inc.) and now we are DBA The Heart of Leo, and we are focusing on helping ALL animals in need... and people as well. :-) We are creating a sustainable "Yes Life" Sanctuary and adoption community to assist small rural shelters and to save displaced animals in Arkansas counties with no shelters. Plans include: A huge sanctuary/pet resort/ranch with volunteer housing, community organic gardens, and a business-supported foundation. We are working to fund high volume free S/N services, mobile adoptions, community outreach, pet pantries and other human/animal assistance programs to improve and save the lives of needy companion animals across the entire state.
