The Alcott School is a preschool whose objective is to provide all children with the opportunity to develop independence, an awareness of their own abilities and feeling of self worth. These objectives are met by providing a developmentally appropriate, multi-cultural learning environment. Our program develops and enhances the educational, behavioral and social-emotional skills of each child. Recognizing the importance of parents in the education of young children, we offer our parents the opportunity to increase their knowledge of child development and thereby foster feeling of parental competence by providing both supportive and educational parent workshops.
