Cause Description:
Project Medishare empowers Haitians to provide and receive access to quality health care. We share our knowledge and resources with local partners to improve health infrastructure and strengthen the skills of medical professionals. We work in three rural communities in the Central Plateau, the poorest region within Haiti, providing health care access to more than 70,000 people each year. Through our partnership with Hospital Bernard Mevs in Port-au-Prince, we help provide critical care to thousands of critically ill and injured patients, and training to medical staff. Project Medishare's community-based programs promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles, provide access to basic primary care in rural areas, and strengthen local healthcare capacity and infrastructure.
