Women Against Abuse is a leading advocate and direct service provider for victims of domestic violence in Philadelphia, PA. Women Against Abuse serves more than 15,600 individuals a year through emergency residential services, legal aid, hotline counseling, education and advocacy. The agency operates the only emergency shelter in Philadelphia specifically for abused women and children, which provides comprehensive supportive services to help residents seek long-term safety from abuse. The mission of Women Against Abuse is to provide quality, compassionate, and nonjudgemental services in a manner that fosters self-respect and independence in persons experiencing intimate partner violence and to lead the struggle to end domestic violence through advocacy and community education.
