West Boca Raton Community High School Project Graduation 2010

Cause Description:
Project Graduation is an alcohol-free, drug-free night provided to all the graduating seniors. The celebration begins at 9pm on the night of graduation and lasts until 6am the next morning. Seniors are “locked in” at the high school for the entire night with parents, teachers and administrators as chaperones. During the course of the evening, food, entertainment and fun are provided all night long. Project graduation began all over the country many years ago in response to the large number of graduating seniors involved in alcohol and drug related accidents on the night of their graduations. Many of these accidents were fatal. NO senior is admitted to the celebration who is deemed to be drunk or in a drug induced state and no senior is allowed to leave before 6am unless permitted by a parent.
