Cause Description:
Operation PETS provides a non-lethal solution to homeless, abandoned, and feral animal populations so that euthanasia is no longer an acceptable means of population control. Spaying and neutering reduces animal suffering and is an effective solution to pet overpopulation. Our goal is to target companion animal populations that are most in need of spay/neuter services. In doing this, we can make the greatest impact on Western New York’s animal overpopulation problem. Operation PETS is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that provides high quality, high volume, and affordable sterilization services for cats and dogs whose guardians are low-income and meet our income eligibility requirements; for cats and dogs under the care of rescue organizations or animal shelters; and feral cats residing in managed colonies with educated and committed caregivers.
