Cause Description:
St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre and Stedman Community Hospice opened their doors in 2004. The hospice was built and equipped with funds raised by St. Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation. With generous support from St. Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation we are able to offer all programs and support at no cost to the individual or their family. The hospice has several Wellness Programs as well as six in-patient residential beds. Your generous donations to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation will help us to be able to offer these services to our community. Philosophy of care: Stedman Community Hospice offers comfort, peace of mind and spiritual well-being for people with a life threatening illness. We provide holistic hospice palliative care which encompasses the physical, emotional, social and spiritual issues while respecting the individuality of the person. We focus on the person not the illness and believe in the uniqueness of life. We recognize that dying is a normal part of living. We encourage patients, families and caregivers to live each day to the fullest. Redefining hope through wellness, education and supportive care.
