Cause Description:
World's oldest openly gay mens chorus, founded in 1978. Performs several public concerts each year, and performs outreach events to: support the gay and lesbian community, demonstrate pride and positive role models for gay and questioning youth and for the community at large. SFGMC's programs SingOut! and Giving Back contribute to both the local Bay Area and worldwide communities by providing appearances at fund-raising events, producing benefit concerts for women's health, youth advocacy, AIDS and other causes. SFGMC recently partnered with the Elton John AIDS Foundation to raise over $20,000.00 for Nazareth House, an AIDS orphanage in South Africa.
