Cause Description:
Hope.MD was founded by a small group of Iraqi physicians and doctors who have been working day to day in the communities of Baghdad. We have seen the heartbreaking circumstances that families have endured here, and the lack of healthcare infrastructure and resources for help. We founded Hope.MD in an effort to create "patients without borders", with the goal of connecting specialists in academic centers throughout the world with children who need life altering surgeries. Hope.MD functions strictly independently from any religious, economic, or political influence. Although we are a very small organization, we are able to function in areas that large non- profit organizations and specialty physicians were forced to abandon years ago. We have only been able to help eleven children through our own personal resources, but with that beginning, any child can now receive care through the generosity of the global community. We would be deeply grateful if you would help bring Iraqi families hope for a brighter future.
