NextStep Fitness, Inc, a 501 (c)(3) not for proftit: Our mission is to provide community-based, state of the art fitness facilities for the physically challenged at an affordable cost. Currently, NextStep Fitness serves the Southern California physically challenged community through the creation and support of specially designed, equipped and staffed fitness & wellness facilities. The focus of this facility is on continued wellness for individuals post discharge from a formal rehabilitation center. At NextStep Fitness, our primary goals are to: • Build community-based physical fitness facilities for the physically challenged that are affordable for the client • Provide client-focused fitness programs developed hand in hand with the client, focusing specifically on each individual’s needs while striving to improve levels of independence and increase quality of life • Apply state-of-the-art research based training techniques to our inclusive gym environment • Work a sustainable model which is able to be replicated across the country and help many more people with physical disabilities and their families NextStep strives to improve levels of independence and quality of life through personalized fitness and wellness programs -- designed by both the client and trained staff. In addition to activity-based exercise regimens, NextStep Fitness is the second community-based NeuroRecovery Network fitness facility to offer the cutting-edge Locomotor Training therapy to clients through a partnership with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
