St. Philip's is part of the Anglican Communion supporting the Laurel and Maryland surrounding communities. St. Philip's is a historic church founded in 1848 on Main Street. Our Vision - Every day Saint Philip's proclaims Christ's love by nurturing our church family, young and old, and actively reaching out to our community. Through our words and deeds we inspire, welcome and encourage others to journey together in Christian faith and growth. The Mission of St. Philip's, as a Christian community in Laurel, is to bring all people to unity with God and each other. To achieve this mission, St. Philip's provides: Inclusive hospitality that welcomes and embraces all who come to our parish. Worship that deepens and strengthens our connection with God, and inspires and empowers worshippers to lovingly serve Christ and humanity daily. Christian education that nurtures and supports individuals and families in their spiritual growth. Works of peace, compassion, and justice that proclaim the message and live in the spirit of Jesus Christ. Shared ministry opportunities that help each person discover and become engaged in the ministries to which God is calling them. Christian fellowship that supports, inspires and encourages one another along our shared Christian journey.
