Cause Description:
The Foundation's mission is to fund melanoma research at leading research institutions, create programs on awareness, detection and patient support services. We have been successful in supporting restrictions on tanning facilities below age 18, initiating programs in schools and community organizations to educate students, parents, teachers and nurses about the dangers of sun induced skin cancers (particularly melanoma) and importance of sun safety. We also work with community and government leaders to provide free skin screenings.
