Cause Description:
MCSS makes life better for older men and women. Volunteers take older adults to doctor's appointments and grocery stores. They stop by and visit, to relieve lonliness, and they make repairs to keep older adults' homes safe and comfortable. For active older adults, MCSS' two senior community centers are the best medicine around. Exercise, life long learning, wellness programs and community involvement help older adults stay fit and healthy. When an older person has dementia or is in poor physical health, both they and their families need extra help. At an MCSS adult day services program, older adults have fun together and get the therapies they need to be as healthy as they can be. Family members can go to work, or have a day of respite, knowing their loved one is safe and well cared for. Families also benefit from cargiver support groups and other services. The goal of our adult day services programs is for eveybody to have a great day, every day!
