Cause Description:
The mission of the National Autism Association of Pennsylvania is to encourage, educate, empower and support families dealing with a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). • Encourage families to never give up in their search for their loved one to reach their full potential and offer the message of hope. • Educate families regarding the variety of treatment options and provide information about existing resources available. • Empower families to advocate for their loved one's health and education and understand that they are essential to their success. • Support families by fundraising to provide grants to defray the cost of treatments that are not covered by insurance. For families who have just received the autism diagnosis, our goal is to speed up the process from the initial diagnosis to effective treatments and reinforce the message that Autism IS Treatable!
