UW-Milwaukee Institute for Urban Heatlh Partnerships The Institute provides organizational support of the College of Nursing’s two community nursing centers (CNCs): House of Peace Community Nursing Center and Silver Spring Community Nursing Center. These academic nursing centers are established in partnership with community-based social service organizations in underserved, ethnically diverse, economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. The centers, staffed by advanced practice nurses, nurse clinicians, and administrative support personnel, provide a range of health services across the lifespan, with an emphasis on targeting uninsured and underinsured populations.
