Cause Description:
The ALS Association NM Partner in partnership with the national ALS Association is the only national/statewide not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. As the preeminent ALS organization, The Association leads the way in research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy — giving help and hope to those facing the disease. The NM partner is dedicated solely to empowering people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease to all of New Mexico, Southern Colorado and West Texas. Working together with the ALS Clinic at the University of New Mexico Hospital, one of 32 nationally certified centers by the ALS Association and the Southern New Mexico support group, we are able to provide people with ALS (PALS) and their families the ability to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate service and support.
