Established in 1951, the Hope Valley Ambulance Squad, Inc. Is a non-profit, volunteer, community based public health service that provides emergency pre-hospital medical services to the towns of Richmond and Hopkinton, Rhode Island. Our emphasis is excellence in patient care. We provide basic and advanced life support care, medical transportation, education to the public on health awareness, and special event coverage. The Hope Valley Ambulance Squad, Inc. Is operated by volunteers who are also certified by the State of Rhode Island in emergency care and treatment. Presently, we serve a community of over 15,000 people and numerous motorists passing through our coverage area on the I-95 highway. Our organization also provides its services to the surrounding communities of South Kingstown, Ashaway, Charlestown, Exeter and Westerly when needed (also known as mutual aid). Hope Valley Ambulance Squad Inc. Is also equipped and trained as a one of Rhode Island's Mass Causality Units. HVAS complies with the HIPAA ACT.
