Clean Islands International is a non-profit environmental education outreach organization committed to assisting island communities develop and maintain a sustainable program for waste reduction, recycling and many other environmental conservation programs. Founded nearly a decade ago, the organization has assisted communities in Canada, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico and several other Carribean island nations. Selected by the United Nations as an outstanding NGO (non-government organization), Clean Islands International was recognized as one of only 50 non-profit organizations in the world to possitively affect communities through proactive, community based projects. CII is a 501(c)(3) organization, based in Maryland, USA.
