Cause Description:
We seek to provide basic veterinary care, feed, daily care items and physical assistance for pets, whose people are in difficult circumstances and would otherwise be forced to surrender those pets to a shelter, or where the pets are at risk for unintentional neglect. For clarification purposes: Daily care items would include such things as flea control, heartworm medication, supplements, grooming supplies, etc. Physical assistance would be walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, mucking stalls, feeding horses, cleaning cages, etc. Rhiannon's Web is including all classes of pets from horses to rodents as we believe that people deserve to keep the beloved pets that bring them joy when times get tough, which is when people need support the most! As you can see from our mission statement, Rhiannon's Web was formed with a dual purpose: To proactively prevent animal neglect and to give people going through difficult times the ability to keep the beloved pets which give them emotional support. Sometimes life simply does not go as planned; a job is lost, a debilitating injury occurs, a person is trapped in an abusive relationship, a marriage dissolves, a home is lost, a person is disabled, age has impacted a persons ability to care for their pet. Rhiannon's Web is here to help pets whose people are in these circumstances and are no longer able to adequately care for their pets.
