Cause Description:
Children and Family Circle (CFC) is a private, non-profit agency that provides subsidized child care and support services to infants and toddlers from very low-income families, especially those at risk of abuse and neglect. Our primary goal is to help these special children internalize a model of love and nurturing care in an effort to help break the cycle of child abuse in their lives. We also work closely with parents to encourage the development of good parenting and coping skills. Once enrolled in our program, parents have the opportunity to finish school, receive job training, continue drug and alcohol treatment, or re-enter the workforce. Children & Family Circle has been providing these services to Sonoma Countys youngest citizens since 1978 with the help from funds granted by the State Department of Education, as well as donations from caring community members. We currently have enough funding to serve about 70 children; however, about 200 kids are waiting for our care. Your donations go directly to helping us provide these much needed services to the children.
