Cause Description:
SpiritHorse Therapeutic Center, a 501(c)-3 IRS tax-exempt organization, provides free therapeutic horseback riding services to over 400 children from the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex each week at our facilities in Corinth, just north of Dallas. We are unique in that SpiritHorse is the only center in America that provides all private therapeutic horseback riding services free to people with disabilities, children who are victims of abuse, at-risk-youth, children with terminal illness, youth after drug-rehab and battered women. We currently serve more children, free of charge, than any center in the world. In nine years of operation, we have heard 79 children speak the first word of their lives, helped 52 children walk their first steps, and 41 sit up for the first time. We have facilitated the founding and licensing of 40 SpiritHorse centers worldwide and trained and certified 207 instructors. We are doing a lot of good. Please support our cause!
