Therefore, go and make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20 I have recently made the exciting decision to go on a mission trip to Belize City. After many hours of prayer and counseling, Mom and Dad are loosening the reigns. This year, I plan to go to Belize. I cant wait to head out and am very excited about this great opportunity!!! As a Christian, I believe reaching all generations with the love of Christ is essential. Also as a Christian, God has equipped me to reach the world with the Gospel. I cannot think of a better way to spend my summer than sharing the Gospel with others, while seeing my life changed as well. I will be staying with Pastor Ashley Rocke and his family in Belize City, Belize, which is located in Central America. I will be leaving the second week of July and returning home the last week of July. The entire trip, I will minister through Vacation Bible School, Basketball Camps, AWANA, Singing, etc. The total cost of this trip is approximately $1,500.00, which includes all expenses: airfare, accommodations, food, vaccinations and training. I cannot accomplish this task alone, so I am asking you to be part of this mission trip with me, both in prayer and/or finances, if possible. Until my trip, I will be working very hard to raise the finances to go. I have two jobs this summer, and plan on having numerous, different fundraisers. Raising monetary funds is very important for this trip, but not as important as prayer. Whatever support you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you would like to support the mission trip in finances and prayer, please send a check along with the enclosed note to me. Your support, especially in prayer, is a key part of seeing lives changed during my mission trip this summer. Please pray with me for the nationals of Belize that I will meet, Pastor Ashley Rocke and his family, and my own heart and mind to be ready to share the Gospel on my trip. Our prayers are effective, as James 5:16 says, The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.
