Cause Description:
The ATLAS Foundation (Aim Towards Leadership And Service) is a newly founded organization that links female career role models with adolescent girls throughout the Atlanta metro area. Busy professional and career women get the opportunity to meet and interact with young women 3-4 times throughout the year at planned functions. The girls receive a directory of over 150 role models who they may contact via e-mail or telephone for career and life discussions. Annually, ATLAS sponsors a career fair during which girls are treated to corporate exhibits, seminars, interactive workshops, panel discussions, food and entertainment. Throughout each year, ATLAS sponsors smaller events during which girls can meet role models and learn specific life skills.
