Community Caregivers, Inc., is dedicated to providing services to people in our community who are in need of them. Under the direction of a full-time executive director and staff, our services are provided entirely by volunteers and are funded by charitable contributions, grants and fund-raising activities. We help our clients maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life in their own homes and communities. Our clients are residents of Albany County, New York. The people we serve include: older residents, especially those living alone; adults needing assistance after surgery or injury; people with acute or chronic illnesses; family caregivers in need of respite. Our services are available to people of all ages. They include: transportation for disabled, elderly and non-driving persons; essential shopping; respite time; short-term meal preparation or delivery; occasional light housekeeping; help with paperwork or yard work. Volunteers serve as much or as little as they wish.
