Prairie Wind Animal Refuge was established in 1993 to provide a humane home to wild and exotic animals born into the system. Prairie Wind has evolved into a facility that houses over 4o animals having varied stories from numerous backgrounds. Our primary goal is to provide an environment for our residents conducive to a happy, tranquil life that is full of love, dignity and respect. We strongly believe that only the very best of care, absolute love and respect is unquestionably essential for the animals that call Prairie Wind home since it is their unfortunate fate to live in captivity for the duration of their time on this planet.
