Cause Description:
The mission of The Metropolitan Chorus is to provide a program of musical education, enrichment and enjoyment as singers and audience for our community through performances of choral literature, symphonic and chamber music. The Metropolitan Chorus (TMC), founded in 1966, presents six or seven performances a year of a variety of new and traditional choral works. Programming is eclectic, but is weighted to 20th and 21st century works, particularly those of American composers. The Chorus, which is presently at about 100 singers, is drawn from Arlington County and the surrounding jurisdictions, including other Virginia suburbs, Washington, D. C. and Maryland, and has consistently received excellent reviews in the Washington Post.
