The Canadian Deafblind Association-BC Chapter is dedicated to assisting all individuals in BC who are deafblind to achieve, with Intervention, the best quality of life. Intervention is the process that allows an individual who is deafblind to receive visual and auditory information that they are unable to gather on their own in a way that is meaningful to them. Deafblindness (or dual-sensory- impairment) is a unique disability which brings enormous challenges to the individual and those who support them. We run several programs in British Columbia that include: " Early Intervention for youth age 0-5 " Summer Intervention for youth age 5-19 " Summer Recreation Programs " Hospital Intervention Programs " Special Equipment Fund " and more
