Project STAR, a program of The Children's Institute in Pittsburgh PA, is a private non-profit licensed children's social service, foster and adoptive agency serving children with special needs.Children are abused, neglected, impoverished, physically impaired, mentally challenged or their parents are. They may be in danger of being removed from their homes or have already been removed. Some may be able to return home and others will need medical foster care and/or need to be adopted. The children are the focus of this wonderful agency. The children are the future and have the right to live in a family regardless of the seriousness of their situation or condition.
