Cause Description:
Kids Voting is having a dramatic impact on the way our children embrace civics education. In addition to a well-developed curriculum given to schools, the hands-on experience that Kids Voting provides to students creates a challenging and engaging environment to learn about national policies as well as local issues. Kids Voting teaches youth  through the special curriculum, teacher training, family participation and community involvement  the principles of democratic living and the importance of citizen involvement in a democracy. The election allows students a real life opportunity to put those principles into action and be part of a positive voting experience. This creates a feeling of responsibility as well as pride in participation, setting up students for positive future voting habits and actions.
