Cause Description:
Cat Rescue of Maryland, Inc. is a non profit organization in Baltimore, MD, run solely by volunteers. We work with feral cat colonies, spaying and neutering the adults, taming and placing the kittens and placing any strays that have joined the colony. Every single cat and kitten, whether domestic or feral, is tested for FELV and FIV, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and spayed or neutered. Adoptable cats and kittens are placed in carefully screened adoptive homes. Unadoptable feral (wild) adults are returned to the colony to their caretaker. The caretakers provide food, water and shelter on a daily basis.
