Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt

Sudbury, Ontario

Cause Description:
We are working towards the protection of the Roxborough Greenbelt as a public natural park. The Roxborough Greenbelt is three hectares of healthy transitional forest and creek, providing valuable natural habitat for plants, animals, and people. It is a lone island of nature in the centre of the city. If this land is not acquired as a public park now, it will be lost to development. Sudbury has worked hard to regreen our city after decades of environmental damage from mining and smelting. Please help us save this precious healthy natural haven, in the centre of our city.
