Founded in 1983, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence united with the Million Mom March is a national non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the tragic toll of gun violence in the United States. As the nation’s largest national, non-partisan, grassroots organization leading the fight to prevent gun violence the Brady Campaign is dedicated to creating an America free from gun violence, where all Americans are safe at home, at school, at work, and in their communities. We believe that a safer America can be achieved without banning all guns. The Brady Campaign works to enact and enforce sensible gun laws, regulations and public policies through grassroots activism, electing pro-gun control public officials and increasing public awareness of gun violence. The Million Mom March (MMM) is a national grassroots, chapter-based organization dedicated to preventing gun death and injury through education and advocacy, and to supporting victims and survivors of gun violence.
